 You will find below links to climate data. This data can be used to assess changes in climate over time. Climate is the average weather conditions in an area over a period of time. Climate can have an affect on biodiversity, as all organisms have ranges of tolerance to many different environmental factors with climate encompassing many of those factors.

Historical Climate Data - This link provides information on climate from diaries and journals dating back to 1735. The dataset allows you to select the state and certain locations within that state. 

National Weather Service - NOW Data - This link provides the user information on climate which allows you to select the NWS area of interest along with the product and the time period. 

NOAA State Climate Sumaries - This link provides the user with a summary of the climate in the selected state. The page has many informative graphs and explanations of the data. 

USGS Water Data - This link provides the user with information on gage height and flow of rivers and streams. This link specifically will take you to data sets for Stony Creek in Dinwiddie, VA.
